Rachael Woitas Captures First Major Championship at the 2025 Harvest Cup

Woitas Wins at Coal Creek, Captures First Major Championship
Coal Creek Golf Course set the stage for a thrilling finale to the 2025 Harvest Cup, and when the final putt dropped, it was Rachael Woitas standing tall as the newest season-ending major champion. With a final total of 141 Stableford points, Rachael etched her name into Harvest Cup history with a dramatic finish under the brightest of spotlights.
The battle was tight all afternoon, with Rachael’s brother-in-law Alex Woitas mounting a back-nine charge that kept the pressure squarely on the leader. Justin Marler and Jon Woitas were also well within striking distance, making every hole feel like a potential turning point.
Everything came down to the 18th. Nursing a slim lead, Rachael’s approach shot sailed right and found the greenside bunker—an opening Alex had been hoping for. The tournament’s destiny suddenly hung in the balance.
But champions are defined by their response under pressure, and Rachael delivered the shot of her life. From the sand, she splashed out to 30 feet, leaving herself two putts to secure the Cup.
With the gallery holding its breath, she rolled the first putt beautifully, nearly holing the 30-footer. A short tap-in later, Rachael sealed the victory and her first Major Championship title.
“It feels incredible,” she said afterward, smiling through the cheers of her family and fellow competitors. “I knew I just had to stay calm on 18, and that bunker shot—wow, I’ll never forget it.”
While Rachael celebrated her breakthrough win, Alex once again proved his consistency and grit. He finished runner-up in two of this season’s major championships and has firmly placed himself in the Player of the Year conversation. Though he didn’t capture a major crown in 2025, Alex did take home a unique honor—getting to wear Sarah Melenka’s Bronze Medal after the round, a lighthearted but symbolic reminder of his strong campaign.
The Woitas family once again dominated the Harvest Cup spotlight, with Rachael breaking through for her first major and Alex continuing to show why he’s one of the league’s rising stars.
Coal Creek delivered drama, and Rachael Woitas delivered greatness.
