2026 International Open – Round 2 Recap
Caledonia Golf & Fish Club — Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Round 2 of the 2026 International Open unfolded beneath the moss-draped oaks and winding fairways of Caledonia Golf & Fish Club — and once again, the tournament ran straight through Jon Woitas.
The leader delivered another composed yet aggressive performance, adding 28 points to extend his overall lead to 65 points through two rounds. While others surged and stumbled across Caledonia’s tight corridors, Woitas looked firmly in control, navigating the course with veteran calm and championship intent.
But the round’s biggest charge belonged to Dustin Andrychuk.
Andrychuk lit up the leaderboard with a course-best 31 points, the highest total of the day, launching himself into second place overall at 58 points. After a quiet start to the week, Andrychuk has officially announced himself as the primary threat heading into the weekend stretch.
Behind him, the resurgence continued.
Clark Melenka, shaking off the chaos of Round 1, rebounded in spectacular fashion with 29 points, climbing to 49 total and firmly back in contention. Jan Bettac matched that total with 29 of his own, pushing his tournament score to 46 points in what marked one of the strongest turnarounds of the day.
The Serna brothers once again found themselves in the mix.
Mike Serna posted a steady 26 points, maintaining his grip on fifth place, while Brendin Serna added 23 points, keeping him inside the top half of the field in 11th.
Justin Lopushinsky continued his climb with a sharp 26-point round, vaulting into seventh place, while Richard Woitas stayed consistent with 25 points, now sitting comfortably in sixth.
It was a mixed bag for several contenders.
Kenton Maschmeyer collected 24 points, staying within striking distance but losing ground to the leaders’ surge.
Jon Shapka managed a solid 26 points, stabilizing after a difficult opening round.
Mark Herman, still battling through physical adversity, struggled to 19 points, slipping back in the standings.
One of the day’s most entertaining storylines belonged to Alex Woitas.
Alex started strong and ultimately finished with a respectable 27 points, but not before the beer cart made multiple well-timed appearances — each delivering another Nurtrl. Observers noted that as the cans stacked up, the scorecard began unraveling, turning what looked like a monster round into merely a solid one.
At the bottom of the board, Brayden Malica endured a tough day at Caledonia, collecting 18 points and sliding into last place heading into Round 3.
With Woitas setting the pace, Andrychuk surging fast, and momentum swinging wildly across the leaderboard, the 2026 International Open is shaping up into a full-blown showdown. Caledonia tested nerves, patience, and precision — and only the sharpest survived the second chapter.
