Zachary Janes Wins The 2025 Sicamous Invitational
Zachary Janes Claims First Major Victory at Sicamous Invitational
The Sicamous Invitational delivered drama, grit, and a career-defining performance from champion Zachary Janes, who secured his first major tournament win in impressive fashion.
Over four days, Janes posted rounds of 91 at Shuswap National, 84 at Salmon Arm Golf Club, 78 at The Rise Golf Course, and 93 at Talking Rock Golf Resort. The highlight came on day three at The Rise, where his 78 marked a career-low round — a pivotal moment that cemented his lead heading into the final day.
But it wasn’t a coast to the finish. Fellow competitor Alex Woitas applied constant pressure, forcing Janes to keep his composure under tournament intensity. Despite a challenging closing round at Talking Rock, Janes held strong to seal the victory.
“This one means a lot,” Janes said after the win. “To post my best-ever round and have it help me win my first major — that’s something I’ll never forget.”
With this breakthrough, Janes not only takes home the Sicamous Invitational trophy but also establishes himself as a serious contender in future majors.
